FOMO trading: put a two-candle window between the feeling and the click
FOMO is regret pointed forwards: you were right, you did nothing, and every candle is a receipt. That is why chased entries come in bigger than planned.
Is this you?
- —You buy moves you watched leave without you.
- —The chase is larger than your planned size.
- —You cannot say where the trade is wrong.
- —You feel behind rather than interested.
Two or more of those and this is the state costing you the most, not the strategy.
What it actually costs
Chases enter at the worst price in the move and carry no invalidation, so the stop ends up being your pain threshold instead of a level.
The protocol: The Missed-Move Rule
Trigger — You notice yourself reaching for an entry on a move that has already run without your signal.
- 1.Say out loud: "I missed the entry. There is either a second entry or there is nothing."
- 2.Set a 60-second timer and do not touch the order ticket until it ends.
- 3.Write down, in one sentence, what a valid second entry looks like: the level, the pullback depth, and the confirmation you need.
How long — 60 seconds to write it, then as long as the alert takes.

Next time you want in on an unplanned move, say the time out loud. You get two candles, half size, and one written sentence naming where you are wrong. Past that, the move is closed for the session.
Not sure this is your state?
The quiz takes two minutes, needs no sign-up, and names your top three protocols out of the fourteen.
